Skunk Anansie : Secretly

A mediocre ballad tune meanders disconsolately in the shadow of her stardom, and never quite comes out.

Wherein Skin continues her drama school singing practical by starting in the voice of a poor whimpering Dickensian orphan, then building the tension up to a style destined to be called 'gutsy'
and
'raunchy', then warbles into torch singer romanticism, complete
with
soaring guitar solo. Quite impressive if you're impressed by double-necked guitars and the bass 'work' of Mark King. Meanwhile, a mediocre ballad tune meanders disconsolately in the shadow of her stardom, and never quite comes out.
